العملاق في داخلي كتاب مصوّر يروي قصة آدم، مراهق يواجه عدة مشاكل منها التنمّر وعدم الثقة بمظهره الخارجي. لم يكن والداه يدركان معاناته اليومية إلى أن دخلا معه نفقًا يجسّد مخاوفه ويكشف الأشخاص الذين يضايقونه، ليكتشفا تأثير عدم إصغائهما له على حالته النفسية. يستهدف الكتاب المراهقين والمراهقات بين ١٠ و١٥ عامًا ومقدمي الرعاية والأهل، ويسلّط الضوء على موضوع العنف ضد الأطفال وآثاره القريبة والبعيدة، وأهمية التغلّب على المخاوف وتخطي الصعوبات بدعم من الأهل والأشخاص الموثوق بهم.

 

The Giant Within Me is an illustrated book that tells the story of Adam, a teenager struggling with bullying and low self-esteem related to his appearance. His parents are unaware of his daily struggles until they enter a tunnel that embodies his fears and reveals the people who torment him. They come to realise how their lack of attention has affected his wellbeing. Aimed at adolescents aged 10–15, their caregivers, and families, the book highlights the issue of violence against children, its short- and long-term effects, and the importance of overcoming fears and difficulties with the support of parents and trusted individuals.
